Dr. Kate Fiske

Our Team

Dr. Kate Fiske is a licensed clinical psychologist and a board certified behavior analyst. She has worked in the field of autism treatment for over 20 years, and her clinical work and research focuses on best-practice approaches to teaching children and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). A particular focus of her work centers on providing support to family members and other caregivers of individuals with ASD, and she frequently provides training to professionals on understanding the family experience. After beginning her career as a teacher for children with ASD at the New England Center for Children, Dr. Fiske earned her doctorate in clinical psychology at Rutgers University and completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute of Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Fiske served as a clinical professor at Rutgers University-New Brunswick for 12 years, where she was also the Director of Academic Training and the Director of Family Support at Rutgers' Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center (DDDC). She continues to supervise doctoral students in psychology at Rutgers. Dr. Fiske has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and is the author of the book, Autism and the Family: Understanding and Supporting Parents and Siblings

Jason Neely, PhD, LMFT

Dr. Jason Neely

Dr. Jason Neely is a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 20 years experience in the world of autism and developmental disabilities. He has worked as a direct support professional at the Marcus Autism Center, a family therapist and researcher at the Kennedy-Kreiger Institute, and most recently in an administrator role at the May Institute. Dr. Neely earned his master’s in marriage and family therapy from Syracuse University, and his Ph.D. in Counselor Education from the University of Florida. He has particular interests in the potential for couples therapy to reduce stress and conflict with parents that have a child with autism, and how this effect may positively impact their child’s individual progress in treatment. Jason is also well-versed in navigating the resources and regulations regarding treatment for individuals with ASD and the benefits of a medical home. Over the span of his career he has had the pleasure of working with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds and across the lifespan. At the heart of Dr. Neely’s clinical approach to therapy is the family system. That is, he focuses on the connections between people. He works to build a positive therapeutic relationship with clients to achieve the satisfaction they seek.

Postdoctoral fellows

Dr. Fiske and Dr. Neely are joined by postdoctoral fellows in the field of school or clinical psychology. These fellows have several years of experience in the field of autism treatment, and are working toward licensure in psychology in the state of New Jersey. Their therapeutic services are directly supervised by Dr. Fiske.
